Harridge Financial Services Ltd is a family run business. Simon became a financial adviser in 1991 and has worked as an appointed representative of one network formerly Allied Dunbar, Zurich Advice Network and now Openwork.
Sue joined the business in 2007 to assist with part time administration whilst bringing up the children. As the children grew, Sue took on more hours and together they started to build a company that was thriving. In 2017, Simon, Sue and their children moved from their home in Manchester to live nearer to family in the south of the country. Since the move, the company has grown. More staff were needed and a reliable team of dedicated advisers and administrators has formed.
Simon does a lot of charity work and is a trustee of the Openwork Foundation. This is a charity that raises on average over £500,000 per year to vulnerable people in our local communities. Simon’s role in the charity is to make decisions on where the money is gifted to and to ensure that the charity follows strict legislation in its practices. Both Simon and Sue have taken part in cycle challenges covering hundreds of miles in support of the charity.
Sue has also worked very closely with the charity ‘Hearing dogs for deaf people’. Sue took an eight week old miniature poodle and fully trained her up to become a life saving ‘hearing dog’ who now lives with her deaf partner and alerts them to sounds such as fire alarms, cooker timers and doorbells.
Caring and making a difference is at the heart of everything that the company stands for. Helping clients to achieve their financial goals comes so naturally to this firm because of the natural way that the company’s values filter through.
